American Kennel Club (AKC) The American Kennel Club's Canine Legislation Department monitors and provides input for federal, state and local legislation governing responsible dog ownership.
   
National Animal Interest Alliance (NAIA) NAIA is a moderate organization that supports ordinary people and professionals as they strive to learn more about a host of issues ranging from endangered species to responsible pet ownership and proper animal care and husbandry.  Because NAIA believes that education and tolerance are the keys to progress in a free society, NAIA works with all legal animal industries, enterprises and recreational pursuits in which the participants are working for improvements. NAIA believes in the rule of law and opposes both the illegal acts of animal abusers and the acts of animal rights extremists who take the law into their own hands.
   
Responible Pet Owners Alliance, Inc. (RPOA) RPOA's  mission is to be the leading provider of information and assistance concerning animal welfare and related public health issues, taking whatever steps necessary to preserve our historic relationship with animals.  Our purpose is to make a lasting contribution to the quality of life for animals and people as animals are a public health and safety issue
